SUMMER LIVIN'

Knee High by the 4th of July

Anyone who has ever grown up on a farm probably knows the saying that is the title of this painting.
It is inspired by an evening road trip with my husband into the countryside north of Columbus into the flat landscape that is perfect for growing crops, especially corn.  My memories of growing up on the farm come flooding back when I see this beautiful landscape and I am truly proud of my hertiage.

Another Rose

ANOTHER ROSY ROSE

Here is another rose inspired from my collection of rose photos from the Park of Roses in Clintonville.  I like how the shadow thrown from the petals to the underside of petal has this orangey glow.
