Our city has a beautiful park for roses.  They have been at their peak these past few weeks and I have had the opportunity to go there to take photos while walking my dog.  I love the many scented older roses whose blossoms are not the most beautiful but whose scent takes my breath away.  This painting is inspired by one of the older varieties, whose petals were about to fall away.  I loved the way the shadows contained so many colors.  Hope you ENJOY!!
